Kurt Masur has now twice conducted the Baltic Sea Youth Philharmonic, expressing his thrill at the spirit brought to life by the young musicians on stage. In 2013, Kurt Masur also led an international conducting masterclass. Kurt Masur chose seven participants from more than 100 applications from all over the world. The young conductors came from Russia, Germany, South Korea, USA and Taiwan. At the end of the one-week workshop they had the opportunity to make their debut performance at the Usedom Music Festival together with Kurt Masur and the Baltic Sea Youth Philharmonic.
